I started CrossFit because I wasn’t happy with me. I wanted something better for myself physically and mentally. I was tired of looking in the mirror and being disappointed. The variety of movements and workouts looked like way more fun than running all the time!
My first impression of CrossFit was “what did I get myself into?!” The first workout seemed easy enough however that was the last time I thought that, I’ll just say it was a VERY humbling experience. Fast forward to now, I love CrossFit. I can’t imagine a day without CrossFit or a day out of the gym. Each day is a new day to better not only myself but the others around me and for that I’m so grateful.
My first “bright spot” I would have to say was competing in the 2018 Crossfit Open. I’d never competed in anything like that nor experienced the atmosphere we had over those 5 weeks.
Now I’m working on improving my coaching and improving my own movements and technique.
There are so many memories at CFFC but, the one that stands out the most would have to be July 4th. Started
the day with a great WOD, followed by a day in the pool and watching fireworks with some of the gym fam.
