Fit Kids will help to develop physical abilities, social skills and self-confidence. The program can prepare kids for sports, making them fitter and more coordinated, or provide an alternative for kids who are not interested in competitive sports or traditional team sports. It’s also great for developing good motor patterns, balance, and a positive attitude toward challenges. At the very least, we will keep things fun and the kids moving.
Kids are not getting as much physical activity at school as they used to, which can contribute to trouble focusing on academics, and the retention of that schoolwork. There is a growing body of evidence that says, following rigorous exercise, focus, understanding and retention of academic subjects increase.
All classes will be on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Spots are limited, and times are specific depending on the time slot your FitKid is signed up for. The 3:30 p.m. class will be coached by coaches Matt VanSchoyck and Zack Tuttle and the 4:30 p.m. class will be coached by Ryan and Kelly Bryant. Membership is $60/month.. The Tuesday class will run at the same time as our CrossFit class so parents and kids will be able to train at the same time!
