If you do nothing, nothing will change.

No one can make you do anything. What we want to do is help you realize that motivation comes from the inside. Everything you need is there, inside of you.

Whatever it is that you’re looking for, you already possess. You’ve already got the fire and drive to change yourself, and the world around you. Sometimes though, that fire doesn’t burn as bright as it used to.

No one can talk you into doing something you don’t want to do. But, this isn’t about that. All you need is someone to remind you what is already there. Someone to remind you what you’ve forgotten about.

It seems to me that as we grow older and get comfortable in our lives we forget about the things that used to excite us. We lose track of those things that made it hard to sleep because we couldn’t wait for the next day to begin.

Do you still feel that way? Do you get excited about your everyday life? Do you jump out of bed in the morning excited for what the day will bring?

All you have to do to find the motivation to get off your butt is remember why you want to change in the first place.

So ask yourself..

  • Why do you want to change?
  • Why do you want to be fit or strong?
  • Why do you want to be successful?

The answers to those questions are so powerful they will move you to take action.

The hard part is really digging into those questions and getting past the surface answers. You really have to analyze why it is you want to do what you want to do. When you begin to find that why, you’ll find all the motivation you need.

Now, ask yourself what will happen if you fail to take action. For most people the answer is nothing.

That’s called being comfortable. Being comfortable with the way things are. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. We were not born into this world to be average.

Do you want to live in your comfortable little world, taking orders from other people, and punching a clock everyday? Do you want to live out your precious days simply going through the motions?

Wake up, go to work, come home, watch tv, eat dinner, go to sleep and get up and do it all over again. That doesn’t sound like a life to me. It sounds more like being a robot, programmed to perform a task.

We are not robots.

I say we grab the world by its neck and choke the life out of it.

So now you know why, and what. It’s time now to ask yourself how. How are you going to start making those changes?

Just put one foot in front of the other, man. Don’t stop moving. Keep pushing forward and build momentum little by little. Small effort every single day can add up to big change. Before you know it you won’t even recognize the person you used to be.

All of this requires risk, and change. Both of those things can be so scary they can freeze you dead in your tracks.

Do not fear change or risk. Change is what makes us makes us better. Risk what makes us great. But, these can be scary things to think about.

We are built to be challenged. We live in a world full of adversity and uncertainty. There is no escaping those facts. It in order to make the changes that will move us to become the person we want to be we must accept the challenge of change. Embrace it and face it head on.

Set your course, and let nothing stop you from making the changes you want to make in your own life. Find the drive you have inside.

Don’t think about what might happen if you fail. Think about what you will be when you succeed.

I know I’m not happy with sitting still any more. It’s time to move forward and be better than average.

That’s exactly what I want for you too. I want you to feel that fire to move forward, and make progress in your life and in the gym.

Realize that that fire is already inside you.. it just needs to be stoked. Only you can stoke that fire.

Only you can make the decision to get up, and get to work on your own success.
